Cody McElrea founded TruNorth Naturals in 2016 after returning to Northern Ontario. With a background in ecological systems, renewable energy, and natural medicine, he has spent the past decade building TruNorth around wild Canadian fungi.
Cody stays closely involved in the business, from field harvesting and production to logistics and operations. He oversees the company’s wild chaga and fungi supply, working with forest managers, regulators, and researchers across Canada.
TruNorth’s production facility is located on Cody’s original 190-acre off-grid family property in Goulais River, where the business began and continues to operate today
