Colin Mills brings a blend of ecological insight, business strategy, and a deep passion for fungi to his role at TruNorth Naturals. With a professional background in events and sports marketing, his path shifted after a personal awakening to the principles of permaculture and the regenerative potential of mushrooms. He deepened his knowledge as Community Manager at Fungi Academy in Guatemala, where he hosted cultivation courses, led educational events, and nurtured a global network of fungal enthusiasts.
In Canada, Colin helped launch a small-scale mushroom cultivation project on an organic farm and volunteered with the Fungi Foundation to advance global fungal literacy. He also holds a Permaculture Design Certificate from renowned educator Richard Perkins and has experience in emerging sectors such as cannabis and psychedelics through regulatory consulting work.
At TruNorth, Colin leads strategic partnerships—helping build transparent, values-driven relationships with suppliers, clients, and collaborators. His work is grounded in systems thinking and inspired by the mycelial networks he studies: resilient, regenerative, and deeply interconnected.
