About Our Species

Each of our mushroom species is unique and has its own way to be harvested sustainably. For this reason, we collaborate with forest management companies and the Ontario Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry to create sustainable and ethical forest management plans based on GIS mapping systems and decades-worth of data used by the forest industry in Ontario.

Some of the data that is recorded and studied include:

- GPS coordinates of harvested mushrooms

- Life cycle, growth, and species composition of harvested locations

- Approximate weight of mushrooms harvested and what was left behind to grow
